Where does one get the raw materials for Italian ices ?
Thats a great question, how do we choose whose raw materials, namely bases and flavors, as there is a lot of smoke and mirrors put out by suppliers. Some will quote a very attractive price, however the price is not commensurate with the product.For example company A advertises Cherry base for $10. per gallon and company B advertises Cherry base for the same price or a little more.Whats the catch ? Well company A's prduct makes only 12 quarts of product while company B's product will produce a whopping 24 quarts.Big difference, so make sure you read the labels.
