Carmen Esposito began his consulting business to share his 40+ years of experience in the and Italian ice and gelato business with new entrepreneurs, like you! Carmen sold Italian Ice in Philadelphia from an old yellow international truck. The truck made it through several seasons and over that time his success grew as he developed his award winning Italian ice recipes.
In 1975 he retired the truck and opened his first retail store called Esposito's Italian Ices. It wasn't long before Esposito's earned the reputation as the best Italian ice in Philly! The Philadelphia Daily News discovered his Italian ice and commented in an editorial saying "What cools you down better than a good old water ice? Esposito's, unlike many newcomers, remembers how to make it right."
In 1978 Esposito's won the highly coveted "Best of Philly" award from Philadelphia Magazine. Esposito's reputation grew quickly and by the mid-80s if you were eating Italian ice in Philadelphia it was most likely manufactured by Esposito's. Carmen opened a wholesale facility expanding the sale of his unique product to all of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Over the years business grew with the opening of 3 additional retail stores.
